Battalion of Saints
A long time ago, before you could use the Internets to download almost any rare record instantly, tape trading was the method to hear cool hardcore bands without paying stupid collector prices for that great privilege. When I was 17, a friend made me a tape of a bunch of records, one of which was the Battalion of Saints record. This quickly became one of my favorite records of all time to this day. A serious rager with some burly, fast songs and a few more rocking, not quite melodic though, jams. An absolute essential part of any USHC collection.
At one point, there was a reissue CD with their album also on Taang! Records, but I have no idea if that is still available today.

Slapshot
Fanzine ad for the Slapshot Step On It LP. I am not a huge fan of this record. Besides the rerecorded Last Rites songs a lot of it is filler, written in the studio apparently, without a lot of the power that their previous recordings had. Taang! did a great CD that combined all of their recorded output up to this record during the nineties.
