Deep Wound
I think I got this ad from Cooch awhile back, but man Deep Wound are incredible. I actually heard them first from a grunge kid in tenth grade. We were tape trading (I was turning him on to Black Flag and some NYHC) and he had copied me a Melvins album and some random Dinosaur Jr. songs. At the end he had a note saying that Dinosaur Jr. had a hardcore band, you’ll love it. Boy did I ever! Deep Wound are like Die Kreuzen and Void, only faster. In My Room, especially the mosh part, really foreshadows bands like Youth of Today and Bold.

Revelation Records
Another early Revelation Records ad. As I have mentioned in numerous forums, Side By Side is my favorite band of this era. I had an original shirt at one point, but it was HUGE on me, so I couldn’t only wear it over a sweatshirt. Eventually, it got ripped up at a show. Oh well.

Revelation One-Ten
Here’s an ad for the first ten records on Revelation. Of these records I only really like 6/10, although a couple others are listenable. My favorite Revelation release until the Burn record is easily the Side By Side record. As I lose interest in a lot of the late eighties Revelation/Straight Edge stuff that record continues to blow my mind.
