I don’t know how you can clearly pick between the three major NYHC compilations from the late eighties, but I think at the end of the day New Breed might be the best one. A mindblowing opener from Absolution, some seriously sick live tracks from Life’s Blood (with Sean Murphy from Collapse, also on here, on vocals-anyone have that entire set?), Breakdown at their rawest, that fucking scream at the beginning of Raw Deal’s contribution. A whole bunch of smaller but good bands like Our Gang, Fit Of Anger, and Collapse.
This was originally on tape (I have a nice copy of it from a first generation copy) but was also booted on CD (with booklet) around 1999 or 2000. A nice reissue of this would be great.
